    "description": "In mei 2017 kwam een groep conservatieve filosofen uit twaalf Europese landen bij elkaar in Parijs vanuit een gedeelde zorg over de staat van de Europese politiek, cultuur en samenleving. Europa verwaarloost haar beschaving, gedreven door een verkeerd idee van vrijheid, een verkeerd idee van gelijkheid, en een verkeerd, misplaatst idee over zichzelf. Dit 'valse' Europa ziet zichzelf als de vervulling van onze beschaving, maar is in werkelijkheid een onteigening ervan. Deze verklaring is een poging om aan te geven wat Europa w\u00e9l is, en zou moeten zijn, en waar wij voor staan.  <br />Sinds de verklaring online werd gezet, verrezen uit alle hoeken van Europa mensen die de tekst in hun eigen taal wilden vertalen. Deze vertalingen zijn hier samengebracht, als testament van de rijkdom en veerkracht van ons contintent en het verlangen om onze cultuur te vernieuwen. Dit boek bevat de Verklaring in alle talen.<br />The result is, 'A Europe We Can Believe In'. This Paris Statement is a ringing call for a renewed understanding of, and appreciation for, Europe's true genius.
