Your freedom within.\n\nWhen people meet you they ask, out of interest, if you have\na career, whether you are married, if you have children. As if\nlife was some kind of grocery list. But no one ever asks you if\nyou\u2019re happy\u2026\n\nThese questions you get asked are about figuring out who\nyou are. But most of the time they lead to answers about what\nyou are doing. You\u2019ll say \u2018I work here\u2019, \u2018I studied this and that\u2019,\n\u2018I live there\u2019, and so on. What happens with these types of\nanswers is that the Doing is actually defining the Being. When\nthe Doing is good and works out, then all is well with the\nBeing. For those people asking you these questions it\u2019s a safe\nstrategy; they don\u2019t need to worry about your well-being if all\nyou are sharing is your well-doing.\n\nIn this story, I\u2019m making connections between \nliving out of Freedom or living out of Fear. I talk about how\nwe feel and assume we have to measure up in a world that\nkeeps telling us that we aren\u2019t achieving enough. We go\nthrough similar stuff when we\u2019re bringing up our children.\n\nWe condition our children. And so it continues from primary\nschool all the way through university and for the rest of our\nworking lives. Never being good (enough). And not really\nbeing seen for who we are.\n\nWhat happens is that as we grow up, we change\none of the greatest paradigms of our lives. Slowly, very slowly,\nwe see our Freedom turning into Fear. We get it mixed up. We\nturn it upside down.\n\nWe start as Human-Beings but become Human-Doings.\nThis story is not a manual for swapping fear for freedom.\nThis is my life-story, my experience of searching. I hope it can\ninspire you. I\u2019m sharing the stuff I\u2019ve learnt and what\u2019s inspired\nme. My story is an invitation. An invitation to become, once\nagain, a Human-Being.\n\nBecause we have that choice. We can start today.\nWelcome Home.\n",
