He has a tendency towards melancholy and uses his art to mitigate his bitter perception of life.\r\n\r\n\u201cFusion & Defusion\u201d is a collection of poems written by Pieter Gouvart in the year 2016. The poet reflects about four periods during his recovery from depression. He explores his mind through depression, heartbreak, love and his daily ups & downs to regain mental stability. \u201cFusion & Defusion\u201d refers to a method from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which Gouvart uses to write poetry.
