Ik hield alleen de pen vast,<br />'s Nachts je bed uitgaan, een pen zoeken en iets om op te schrijven, daar iets op krabbelen om de volgende ochtend erachter te komen dat je een gedichtje hebt geschreven... in het Engels... op rijm... En dat het gedichtje helemaal past bij een serie schilderijtjes die je jaren ervoor maakte na je transplantatie. Dat ging toen eigenlijk op dezelfde wijze. De gedichtjes bleven komen, soms op de gekste momenten, en zo kreeg elk schilderijtje uit de serie een verhaal.<br />Soms is wat je ontvangt niet om te houden, maar om te delen.",
