His ability to sculpt the human body<br />\nwas remarkable, and he excelled in creating<br />\nfigures and scenes for contemplation.<br />\nThis first monograph of Pedro de Mena shows<br />\na lot of details and remarkable images of his<br />\nhyper-realistic sculptures, full of Spanish<br />\npassion.<br />\nApart from the article by curator Xavier Bray,<br />\nit also features important contributions<br />\nby Jos\u00e9 Luis Romeo Torres, curator of the<br />\nmonographic exhibition Pedro de Mena,<br />\nto be held in M\u00e1laga in 2019.<br />\nThis publication will be available at the<br />\nexhibition De Mena, Murillo, Zurbar\u00e1n.<br />\nMasters of the Spanish Baroque, in the<br />\nmonumental hospital wards of the Sint-<br />\nJanshospitaal in Bruges, until 6 October 2019.",
